Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)

Inclusite wants to show its support for the Global Accessibility Awareness Day, held on the third Thursday of May, which proposes that web developers around the world try to raise awareness of the importance of accessibility of digital technologies and teach others how to create a more accessible website.

From its official website, you are invited to participate in this day to achieve an increasingly inclusive world:

“On May 21, we invite you to participate in the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). When we talk about Web accessibility we mean content, navigation and interaction. The purpose of this day is to talk, think and learn about accessibility of digital technologies (web, software, mobile devices, etc.) and different types of users, including people with disabilities. The audience we want to attract for GAAD is the design, development, and usability communities and also those who create, shape, and financially support influence the technology industry and its use. Even if a person is interested in the issue of making technology more accessible and usable for people with disabilities, the reality is that many times they don’t know how and where to start. Web accessibility awareness is the first step.”
